How a private transfer on Procida works
A transfer is booked in advance at a price agreed before you travel. You tell us the pickup point, the destination, the time and the number of passengers and bags; we confirm the vehicle and a fixed fare on WhatsApp. Nothing is metered, nothing is charged through this website, and the price does not change if the traffic or the ferry does.
That is the practical difference from hailing a car on the day. A transfer is a commitment on our side: a specific driver is held for your time slot, the fare is fixed in writing, and if your ferry runs late the booking follows the ferry rather than the clock.

Arriving by sea
Getting off the ferry without the scramble
Every visitor to Procida arrives at Marina Grande, and they all arrive at once. A car ferry unloads vehicles and foot passengers into the same short quayside, the taxis and micro-taxis in the square fill within a couple of minutes, and the first thing most people do is stand in the sun with their bags working out which way is up. A pre-booked transfer removes that entirely: your driver is already there, and you walk straight to the car.
It matters more than it sounds if you are arriving late, travelling with children, or staying somewhere the road does not reach. It also matters on the way home. Departures cluster around the ferry timetable, and the return from Marina Chiaiolella or the far end of the island to the port takes long enough that leaving it to chance is a poor plan on a morning with a fixed crossing to catch.

What is the difference between a taxi and a transfer in Procida?
A taxi is arranged on the day for a ride you need now. A transfer is booked in advance for a set time at a price fixed in writing, with a specific driver held for your slot — which is what you want for ferry arrivals, early departures and anything you cannot afford to miss.
What happens if my ferry to Procida is delayed?
Nothing changes for you. For port pickups we track the actual arrival rather than the scheduled one, so your driver is there when your boat docks. There is no penalty for a delay outside your control.
Can you transfer us to or from Ischia or Naples?
Yes. We arrange the Procida side of journeys connecting to Ischia and to the Bay of Naples ports, coordinating the road transfer around your crossing. Tell us the sailing you are booked on and we will build the timing around it.
Can a car reach our accommodation on Procida?
Usually to within a short walk, but not always to the door — parts of Procida, Marina Corricella above all, are pedestrian and reached by steps. Send us the address when you book and we will tell you honestly how close we can get and what the last stretch involves.
